I was invited to run a photography workshop for indigenous kids in North West Australia. It was one of my most interesting and exciting assignments. For so many reasons. Hanging out with the rural local community, learning about their culture and getting the kids engaged and excited about capturing their own world was an incredible experience. Initially they were hesitant about this new medium that they had never used before but after a couple of days, once they had started to trust me, they enjoyed their cameras and capturing their very own worlds. With each day they became more fascinated. The imagery shown here is their work. At the end of the two-weeks workshop this selection was presented as exhibition in the little local community centre. All kids, their parents and the local came to see it. Some of the younsters had developed a really keen eye and everyone was extremely proud and loved seeing what they had achieved.
I will never forget and hope you are all well.
